Daffs and Camellias

I am enjoying browsing this forum and seeing all the florals in one place. Makes it nice. :)

This first painting was done toward the end of July for a SWAP exchange of watercolor paintings. I was concerned whether the recipient was ever going to receive it but it arrived yesterday, safe and sound.

This painting was done yesterday (08-10-07) as a possible replacement for the SWAP painting, in case it was lost in the mail. Had fun with this one because it was challenging.

Nice compositions on both of these. I don't paint in watercolor but I would think that glass would be difficult, and you have made it all look easy. Beautiful work.

Nice on both. My fave is the daffs - beautifl work on those petals! The cropped composition is also lovely :)

Hi Ann
Lovely comp in both works. I love the the loose feel of these and the colours are spot on! Only critique would be next time to add a touch of the bloom's colour into the 'grey' shadow areas to unite the whole. Other than that they work great.
