hey folk my know post after getting my scanner up and running.
first scan at 72dpi under 100k. hope its bigger and better than my other scan. i finished (singing sara) in 2001, it's on 8x10 canvas panel which is mounted on a 12x16 canvas panel with contrasting colors in the back ground. not shown.

Ha, I misread your post and thought that the painting was 12x16! Now, that would be a striking piece! But then I saw that it is 12x16 mounted. Still, I'd love to see that! You've done a great job here. I think I can hear her... or is that my radio?

jartist: This is really great! I love the shadow form the glasses, the colours used, and the interesting crop of the subject! This is right up my alley! Great painting!
This would also make a fantastic huge piece on canvass.

Just a beautiful job!!! The tones and shadows have so much depth and movement. The shadows of her glasses on her face...the sheen caught on the earring, nice touch!!! It really does feel like you can hear her singing! The way you cropped this is wonderful, adds to the impact of her "singing her heart out"!

Im with matt...this piece would just as powerful on a larger scale as well! Awesome job jartist, you have a gift at portraiture!:clap:
