Beautiful! Is there a name for this style of painting with the outlining? I'm always impressed when I see paintings done in this manner but don't know what it's called. Anyway, it's a fresh and interesting approach to an iris. Well done!

It's a bit like Art Nouveau - and all their twining, lyrical ink work plants

For Carol it's definitely 'nouveau'! A nice departure and venture into a new style :D

More please! :D

Angela: Thank you.

Melodie: Thanks too

Mikki: I am not sure that there is a name for this technique. Thank you also.

Maureen: yes Art Nouveau may be the closest but with what I remember the lines were often white. Now there is an idea..... :D

Judy: thank you. :D I am working on the next in this style. Will post soon.
