What is so funny about this request? Since posting it on two other artist sites, I have booked two weeks in Sedona, along with a committment to teach there. Wetcanvas responses are chocolate and babysitting? Enlighten me!

Gisela is telling the truth Delmas. I, for one, would love to swap studios with someone, it is just not possible for me at this time in my life plus I don't live in Seldona.

The members of this community use the message boards just like a real conversation with our fellow artists. Sometimes our remarks can get a little silly but it is all in fun and it helps to smile a little while we paint with each other.

I am sure someone will come along and see your request and respond. Until then, enjoy the message boards and come into the chat room and get to know all of us. We are glad you are here.

Oh no, please don't take us wrong!! http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/eek.gif No one was making fun of your request. If you stick around you will see that we are a very friendly and witty (??) bunch! At least we try to be witty...guess we fell flat that time!

Hi,
I am willing to host an artist in North Central Florida for painting. It's not exotic but there are great pastoral settings, as well as rivers and Payne's Prarie, just a few miles form me. I would like to be hosted on the coast, where there are salt marsh areas.

I live on the largest of the Channel Islands, Jersey. Some people will say that it's 45 square miles are the most beautiful in the world. I would be very interested in a house swap for next year. There are 2 small studios, all the comforts of a home and assuming insurance could be arranged the use of a car. I would love to hear from any one who may be interested in a swap.

I'm glad to hear you found a way to get to Sedona. I lived in Cornville, a rural town about 15 miles south of there, for 13 years. I moved away 5 years ago. At the time I would have gladly done a trade with you because I missed my family in the Bay Area. The artist community (at least when I was there) is VERY tight and can be a bit snobbish about anything that isn't cowboy, indian, or red rock art. But there are many fantastic artists, 2D and 3D, working there. May I suggest you take a sketch book and palette to the Chapel (anyone can point the way) at sunset. It is absolutely inspirational. Enjoy!
