View Full Version : faux woodgrain ceiling beams

This is a job from back in Jan. - Feb. this year. Grande Dunes Beach Club. I was finished and out of there before they got the place open, and they won't let the likes of me back in to take pictures. A client of mine is a member, and she took me in to see how it looks all finished. :D

I painted the "beams" (which are indicated with yellow arrows) to match the square tiles in the ceiling. The beams were really just made out of sheetrock, and they're hollow to allow for electrical wires and water sprinklers. I got really good at climbing around on scaffolding! :D The construction people really liked the woodgrain and knotholes I painted. They don't show up in these pics.

Ruth....you did a fabulous job!!! You must have been on that scaffolding for hours and hours!

It's so hard to see them in these photos Ruth. :( I know your work well and anxiously await new postings from you so i KNOW that these turned out fabulous! It stinks that they won't let you in!! Grrr! Really pretty building. It must have been a LOT of work from what i can see!!
