Hello all,

I've been busy painting, riding my horse and enjoying the summer. I've been lurking and seen some very nice paintings in the past few weeks. I wanted to post my latest caseins for folks to see.

The first and last were completed plein air and are 3x5's. The second one is 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 and the number 3 is a 3x5 as well.

Thanks for looking and have a splendid day!!

All very nice, with great detail for such small works. Good skies.

Can't imagine doing such detail as the third one in a 3x5. Wow. All very nice!

Wow.. do you paint with a microscope ?? (just kidding!) Very very nice paintings.
Beauty and harmony are so simple, yet so hard to get on that canvas (for me,still!)

Thanks so much for sharing!

Beautiful and inspiring. I love to work small as well in watercolor and pastel. Do you have any wip of these? Do you complete the plein air ones in one sitting? I donít know anything about casein.

Thank you one and all.
HA HA HA! Paint with a microscope? No, but I've often wondered if some folks here are painting using a jeweler's loop! :D

Yes, the plein air ones were completed on site, all I did afterwards was to sign them. These two are in a show at the moment. I finished them on a Saturday and put them in a show on Tuesday.

Happy painting!!

Great job! I like the last one too. It reminds me of New Zealand!

Just looking into et, quoache and not this. I didn't know that cassein could be so vibrant. What brand of colors did you use?

I use mostly Shiva brand casein paint, but I'm branching out and trying some Pelikan casein paints. They come in glass jars which I do not like carrying in the field, however, I love the consistency of their paint.

All are casein plein air paintings. The first and third are 3 1/2 x 5s and the second one is a 5 x 7.
