...pronounced zi-mee, it's the name of my daughter. I tried this painting last year with watercolors, but it just didn't work. Here it goes again, a year later in acrylics.
30 x 24"
acrylics on wrapped canvas

Very nicely painted. I think her feet need to be larger. Right now, her hand is bigger than her feet. Good picture.

very nice !! ... a nice composition of a memorable moment ... the rocks are fabulous ... yes, the feet need to be larger ... and less bright too to match the rest of the painting ... as they are, they are commanding too much attention ... maybe a few highlights would be nice too ... to the shiny parts of her hair perhaps?

I agree about the feet.
Nice composition. I love the colored rocks and the peek of color under the water.

I also agree with the feet. But I love the painting. If the feet were larger and mutted, I think it would be perfect. Jan

Wow, well done, this is beautiful! I agree about the feet. If you change those, you have a real winner here, Yazmin.

Thank you all! You are always so kind and encouraging! I'll see what I can do with the feet, now I'm a little hesitant, I'm a little scared of messing it up...but I will see what i can do.Thanks!!

Hi Yazmin, what a treat to view your painting. You did a fine job painting your daughter and if you decide to make changes to the painting, I hope you will share it with us.
