My sister wants me to do all of the calligraphy on the invitations and stuff for her wedding in a year and she says that the Blackletter is too crazy and illegible, to fancy, ...
Does anyone know of something less intense that would be okay to switch over from Blackletter to for this?

please and thank you

Italic always looks good, or the gothisized italic, I love it. Copperplate is another option.

i would think a nice unadorned script would work well...

copperplate has always ben my favorite for invites. It's quick and it can be modified to your own hand. I usually use an Esterbrook nib becasue I tend to be heavy handed. I have trouble with most others becasue they are tooooo flexible.

I also use a knob that has a "G" on it, but cannot find it and think for the life of me who makes it. I get them at Paper and Ink Arts or John Neal.

I like the brause EF66 (?) for copperplate, and one that John Neal carries, a brause rose nib.

What do you mean by a knob?
