View Full Version : It's Monday! Showcase 7/08

I haven't started one of these in a while! :)

Here's some red and coral swirls and some fun with raku. Couldn't get away from this shape (easy, not like using a press! Just a masher), so I made a bunch of them. ;)

Nice colors!!!!! You have very consistant shapes - something I don't have...lol!

Good Morning!! It is not quite Monday here, but by the time I get done trying to figure out attaching pics, it might be!!
Beautiful beads, Stephanie... the colors are wonderful! Here are some of mine from this weekend. It has been so hot that I have been torching late at night.

Wow, what a gorgeous showcase! I'm joining late, so here's mine...
I found the Key to Davy Jones' Locker, haha!

Ahh the beauty that I see. In honor of the new Harry Potter movie/book I did a set in the house colors for a friend who has a shop. Still waiting on some gray so I do one of the houses. The black blob is a "deathly hollow" and I tried to do a goddess while I was torching so I put her in the picture.

Was a great way to play with simple stuff. Happy monday.

Wendy - such beautiful, big sets - you must have the patience of a saint! The rainbow set is amazing - makes my mouth water.
Pinarhakim - I love how the etching brought out the rich colors, really pretty.
Anne - These are just gorgeous - beautiful colors from the terra! I love the movement in your beads.
Anastasia - You always choose perfectly complimenting colors. This tree bead is gorgeous and perfect in every way.
Samma - those do look like pottery! Love the shiney, silver bits!
Teresa - Storm Queen looks like she could 'bring the rain' alright. Very dramatic and beautiful.
Debi - your fish are darling, each has it's own personality. The second one is my fav, he looks like he looking at the sea floor for something to eat!
Jayne - That key is too cute! Is it vintage? Nice blues and greens, really looks like water.
Micrognat - Love the house colors - what a cute idea! I'm a Potter fan myself - already preordered 'Deathly Hallows'.
Val - I like the sparkles against the pretty green and your murrinis are perfect!

Thank you Lori, Anne and Samma for your kind comments. :)

There's some breathtaking work in this thread, but I have to say:
anne-your beads remind me of abalone shell. I never thought anything manmade could resemble that.

Thanks for the compliments everyone! :D

You're all such an inspiration.
