Thank you for all the advice.

This is it. I am happy with it. The colours are a fair representation of the whites in the flower. Basically I am afraid to add too much colour but colour is there. That is where I went wrong the first time.

C&C appreciated.

A very good choice for a background color Carol! It really acentuates the white of the flower and adds glow to the leaves.I like it very much:)

Hello Carol
I watched you struggle with this one, and I congratulate you on a beautiful painting, it looks quite luminous and exactly like a gardenia should, I can almost smell that powerful perfume.

Jane: it was one epic struggle. Up until Thursday night I didn't think I could deliver. Needless to say never again will I paint a white flower...well not for a long time. Your words are the best that anybody could have said.

Lisa: thank you as well.

 Hi Carol!

This came together beautifully. Heck, I loved it even before you did the final tweaks, ! Those touches of yellow in the pedals did give it that extra touch of perfection. Great finish to a gorgeous painting!

Carol this turned out fabulous! Absolutely stunning. It would look lovely on my cream colored living room wall right above my forest green sofa!!

beautifully painted, I can almost smell the scent. I have a gardenia by my front door, not in flower at the moment though.
