This is a small 4 x 6 painting done in plein air at the beach yesterday. It was done in sepia ink and W&N watercolors.

This is absolutely adorable!....4x6? Thos chairs must be little itty bitty! I just put a portable painting kit together but I went with 7x10...still havn't gotton started yet but I'm moving in the right direction :)

Joan, What a lot of work you put into this for a plein air.
Don't know how you make paintings so convincing at such a small size,Well done.:clap: :clap:

Jake - Thank you. I try to bring something with me to sketch in or paint on. You never know when there will be something you want to capture. Watercolors and the beach are a perfect combination. I hope you share some of your Florida works with us after you get back.
Maryann - Thanks. I like the 4 x 6 postcard size at the beach. That way I have a better chance of getting it almost done before the scene changes...and it's small enough to toss it if it doesn't work out. (I never toss anything.)

Would make a nice postcard - I know you did it postcard size but you know what I mean......lol. Lots of detail for such a small size.
