These were done while I was at the recent Ontario Meet. The first two were done at The Briars, a resort in Jackson's Point. The octagonal building is called the Peacock House and the tower is Peacock Tower. The third was a little doodle in the garden at the Whispering Pines, our B&B.

Oh Patty thanks for sharing! I've been avidly watching the photos of that meet and waiting to see the work pour in! I recognized the scenery right away. What fun you all had, and I really admire your ability to draw! Nice work!

Thanks! We really had a good time!
I think the secret to a good sketch is not to try to draw every detail. Sometimes just a suggestion with a line or two is enough.

Lovely work Patty, so delicate.

You mean I don't have to draw everything? ;)

Patty, What paper do you do your pen/ink w/ wash on? I usually use Bristol board. Just wondering. They are soooooo nice and appealing.

Thanks everyone!

Natalie, these were done in a Montval Aquarelle 140 lb 9 x 12" sketch book. I haven't done any on bristol board, but I have used hot pressed paper and liked it very much!

Kim, I wish you could have been there too!

stlkicn, they are about 6" x 9" each. And it is a lot of fun, you'll really like it!

Hi Patty
Wow....Personally,I'd have to say you have found your style.....these are so totally pen and ink.....
Your drawing skills are faultless.
I really like all three.....with the only nit being the toppled birdhouse (too dead on?)
Your hard work sure is paying off....Good on you.

LOL about the toppled birdhouse...my only excuse is I was too tired to move to another spot!
