I never know when I'm finished with a painting and continue to dab here and there with color, someone should slap my hand!... This is about 11 X 14 done http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/22-Jun-2007/72213-park2.jpg with a variety of soft pastels on a light grey underpainting. Donna R.

I really like that middle tree/shrub....is it wisteria? Very nicely rendered. And the overall lighting is soft and gentle. Great work!

The trees are really well done - lots of depth to them.

I see we both decided to paint water this week -:)

Thanks Cindy..... I think that may be a Wisteria....I'm not really very familiar with Arizona flora.... I did my "gardening" in the mid-west but it was a very lovely graceful thing.

Kathryn... thank you for the comment on the trees! Your water has a lot more life in it than mine, I have yet to try turbulent waters!

Thanks Piper and Karen..... This will go into a pile with my other "learning experiences".... I'm still not as confident with pastels as I'd like to be but I am beginning to understand them a little more than I had. Thanks for commenting. Donna R.

It's nice but I defer to the others for critiques and comments -( not my strength in water or landscapes).

I find that when the frequency of my dabs of pastel are further and further apart, it's time to call a piece done! :)

Thank You Maggie....
and Gary for your comments.... don't know why it came out so "dreamy" looking but I agree... it is pretty bland.

Barb.... I will try to remember your words of wisdom about "dabs"

Thanks for looking.... Donna R.
