Well, I can't take credit for this, but I wanted to post it here to share with you - this is a vessel that was made by Lisa Rippee. This guy has so much character I can't stand it!!! Hope this doesn't break the WC rules, but I thought he was worth sharing.

Always a beautiful way to start my day; looking and getting inspired by the daily showcase!
Val, did you use enamel over the base bead? It really makes your flowers stand out!
06-20-2007, 11:49 AM

You all always knock my socks off with your wonderful beads! I love looking and lurking...
I've been trying for the last two days to post a photo... no luck. I use the uploader.... find photo.... the photo shows up, click to add..... NO photo :(

Trying again to post a bead picture. Sorry for the focus. Still a total newbie at posting pics and making beads. I lurk a lot and I am in awe of what I see here.

Thanks Barbara. No, there's no enamel in the beads. They have a coral base, silver, and then clear frit, which all turned a dark brown with silver veins.

A beautiful show and tell today, all around.
Ellen, I am so happy to see this new style and design of yours, it's a bit lighter and more transparent based. Great work...keep going with it!

What a great showcase today! I can't wait for the next generation of computers that will project the images in a way that I can touch and feel all this wonderful art. So much of the joy in this craft is also in the handling of the glass!
Trish - wonderful bead! I would pass out holding my breath when removing that one from the mandrel.
Ginny - love those geometric patterns
Ellen - love the soft red color in the first one
Cecilia - great sculptures. BTW, your Etsy banner is GREAT
Sheila - wonderful interpretation of that Venus!
Patsy - your beads and finished works are always so stunning!
Naos - the pictures make me want to touch and feel those beauties
Anastasia - GREAT shapes and color combination
Pinarhakim - I really like that color combination used. Does not look evil to me!
Sylvie - now that's more evil! how totally and wonderfully strange!
Val - if they still had empresses in China, you would be the court jeweler!
Annie - very magical!
Ajere - great little shell! Post more of your work!
Wonderful beads everyone!!  Anastasia, wow, absolutely breath-taking!
I've these to share;

OMG, Judy...that tongue is scary...lo

Thanks Micheal I am pretty darned proud of that little banner. Seems like it takes forever to do those things. Maybe it is because I am not so great with computers.
