View Full Version : Seattle Times press for me!!!

06-16-2007, 02:02 PM
Hi there,
I'm like a kid on a sugar rush. If you go to www.Seattletimes.com and search Barbara Noonan, you will find an article that I'm mentioned in for my pet portraits. They have photos on line of my pieces - most specifically a pug portrait I painted. Cool beans.

Mind you I was so bummed yesterday when my computer crashed and now I'm riding on the high of having some press!

It's easier being a big fish in the pond of Seattle than in San Francisco.

Barb:clap:

Congratulations !

I found a mention of you... :)

Adorable pug portraits by Barbara Noonan (originals, $260-$400) pepper one wall,

at a place called Frank and Dunya, but no pix! I was hoping to see a wall peppered with pug portraits!

Good on ya, Barb~

Congratulations Barb!!! I was hoping to see a picture too but that's OK, you are mentioned in a major newspaper and that's so cool! Next time we hope to see a feature article just about you - with lots of pics of your work!

Congrats, Barbara!:clap::clap: What do you want to bet that there's a bevy of Seattle-area pug lovers heading over to Frank and Dunya as I write this? :D

Sweet! Hope this helps you get more and how fun is this. :) Congrats!

Great press, Barb. Congrats, always lifts the spirits.
I love the pug painting and the small avacado. I didn't know you did oils too.

Thanks again for your encouragement. I'm in the middle of computer whoas so it took the glory off the event.

Yahooooo!, Barb....Did you happen to mension that I gave you none of the great names for your work:smug:   Your a great artist! I hope you have many years of greatness.:wink2: ;) ;) Did you sell any at the show?

06-18-2007, 11:05 AM
Computers.......sigh. Love em, hate em. They connect you and then they take your time away from what you could be doing. So sorry for all that very mind numbing technical stuff you're going through, Barb.
But very happy for you for this write up! More to come, I am so sure! :)

Barbara, so happy to see you got a press write up. Always nice.

06-19-2007, 02:23 PM
Congrats, Barbara!

Thanks again everyone. So far I've only heard from 2 folks that saw the mention but both of them knew it may be coming.

May the press shine upon you all.

Barb: Did the Times mention garner you any additional sales? Hope so.

Here's a another marketing idea for you:
(they already have some artists who have donated - it would seem to me a great way to get your work noticed by Seattle pug lovers)

Great Press Barbara, I hope it garners lots of commissions.

For those of you like me who find finding her picture a challange. When you pull up the page you see a small box midway with the word "RELATED" with a picture of a camera, click the camera and click through the 12 pictures and you will see her adorable pug and avecado.

Carol - thanks for the more precise directions. I get too frustrated with all the details. As you can see... I'm not a precision painter or poster.

Cheers! Barb
