I have been getting ready for some shows. So with a day off from the torch I took pictures before they are sent off or made into jewelry. I thought I would go ahead and put them all in one big "THREAD HOGGING" group.
Hope you enjoy. Sam
Fishies... Thank you Sharon Peters.. You are right their are no bad beads just potential fish.
Cobalt blue special order. The client wanted cobalt to show at every angle of and organic bead.

Yes, those are all lovely! Someone has been very productive!!!

I seem to remember there being a tutorial for making that kind of bead on here a couple of years ago, but I can't find it under "chambered bead." Any ideas on what term to use to find that tutorial?

The green vertebrea is wonderful I like the off set of the dots really throws the attention to the spiral.

Wow I hadn't check into WC for a couple of days.

So Thank you Dragon Myst,

Beaderpaine, I started calling these beads Chambered Beads when I 1st started making them I have not done a tutorial . Debby Weaver also calls them Chambered. I teach in San Antonio and am planning to do a class on this bead type next year. I do mine differently than other people to get the chamber or vertebra effect. Nothing new not my own invention. I just have my own way to get there. Margaret Zinzer has a tutorial on a spiral bead that is similar. Try spiral bead or go to Margaret's web site.

Thank you Ginger and Mixednut, I think the chambered beads with the stringer work is my favorite. At the risk of sounding a bit artsy and insane. In the chambered bead the stringer represent the paths we plan out for our lives. The clear individual chambers represent the different areas of our lives that exert pressure on us and change the path we may have laid out. Oh and thank you for noticing the design element of the dots drawing you in for a closer look at the center.

Helen, Thank you. The shows are.. The bead Bazaar at the Gathering, The Fire and Ice juried bead show at the Bead Monkey at the Gathering, Hopefully also the juried jewelry show at Evoke. I will have one piece at Evoke for the Metamorphosis exhibit during the Gathering. Oh and I hope to sell some to my old high school band buddies at the reunion this week end. Hey a girl has to make money where ever the opportunity arises.

Juls Thank you.

Any of you going to the Gathering?

Wow, Sam! You've got a lot of beautiful new beads! I love the precision on all your dots. I think it's pretty impressive how you are always working to perfect your craft, and I am proud of all the juried shows you've gotten into lately! Way to go.
I can't wait until you start teaching your chambered bead class next year; I'm sure a lot of us will be standing in line to sign up!

Hey Sam,

Great beads! I love the black and french vanilla ones! I love the necklace you made out of them! (I got to see them up close and personal today!) And of course, your dichro leaves are to die for... I finally got my leaf press but mine aren't going to look anything like yours!

See ya at the meeting!
