Hello again!

Sorry for all the posting. I've been trying to learn painter and this forum really helps with the feedback.

This one I tried a bunch of new stuff. I decided to go back and do some still life drawings. One if them I really liked. I have this tiny Ulu (Eskimo woman's knife) that I have had since I was a little girl. It's old and dented and a piece of the ivory handle has chipped, but it in one of my most favorite things. Here is the drawing that I did.....

I scanned it into my comp and started plaing with it. This time I tried just "going with the flow" and played with tiny lines lol. I think I really like this style ....I don't know...you be the judge!

At the end I remembered a picture of some dried seal skin I once took, it had a wonderful texture to it. So I took that and put it on a layer, and made it transparent....so you can kind of see it.....What do you think?

So it's part painting and part photography...It took me about 2 hours.

All C&C welcome....I'm still learning!

I think that the fact you put SO much effort into it, and that you are so happy with the end result, says it all.

I like it very much.
