Not paid but was a challenge on another forum. I've only done people portraits before so this was definately a challenge and learned a lot. Got a way to go though.

It's great, Cathy! I like to pets doing something they love in their portraits. It shows so much more of the personality involved!

I like this. It reminds me of a famous pastel of a wolf by Leslie Harrison which is also playing with a pumpkin. Only this isn't pastel and that isn't a wolf

Really good

Great job - and what a difficult challenge for a first animal portrait - all those spots!

Barry, what the heck IS that????

Thank you all so much for the encouraging comments! It means a lot coming from you and gives me the confidence to try another!
Loved the dalmation pic Barry! At least I could "spot" him unlike trying to find Waldo!

This is well done. I know how much work hair on a dog is required. I did two, blue ticks and it was a lot of details.

This one looks relaxed and like "don't touch my ball".

Thanks so much SilverLady! Dog fur made me nervous so I thought I'd start with a shorthaired dog - should've done one without spots! I learned a lot from this one!
