Across the Valley

Another experiment this time Watercolor Board bonded with Rice paper (mountains/rocks) and wrapping tissue paper (trees) also experimented with color - allot for me. Again nothing great, but fun.

10 x 15 Watercolor Board plus stuff W/N Paints.

Wow, the paper sure does neat things to the paint! I love the colors in this. Just gorgeous!

The trees have a raised bark-like texture as they are made from tissue paper. As to the colors I have no idea why I did what I did. It was fun, so unlike what I normally do

:wave: Hi Mike, sometimes its fun to do something different, it can be a real learning curve. I adore the texture of the trees, the tissue paper works well with the watercolour washes. This is something I tried years ago, now I want to try this method again, thanks for the inspiration and congrats on creating this textured, colorful landscape.:clap: :clap: :clap:

I really like your bold use of color here! The painting is exciting!

I know IRL this would be even more interesting to see because the texture from the rice paper and tissue paper would add so much texture that we don't see on our screens.

I think it is great you are experimenting and trying so many new techniques. They seem to be working! :D

What hits me with this painting is the colours, They harmonise so well, The fact that there is no white allows this to happen
