That's a good picture, though maybe the fire has too much white in it?

I like the style! And the sand grasses are great! The fire is a bit bright and could use some color, but I know that fire is hard to paint. Nicely done! :D

Good work. I agree that something is up with the fire (maybe the dark shadowy area below it?), however, I'd be reluctant to tone it down to "normal fire colours". What worries me about that is, in doing so, it may lose its strength and throw the rest of the composition into mediocrity.

Thanks everyone and the comments are appreciated. I did fiddle with it a little however the fire in the reference photo was white and obviously burning with intensity. I find fire very daunting to paint.

Photos are deceiving. All fire should have some orange in it.
Check the guy's calf, seem too wide (the guy on our right.)
