These days are more exciting than the summer high pressure days cold but finished before the rain came

Wow, Dan, that is intense! Glad it didn't get destroyed by the rain. Are the red areas the paper showing through?

goodness, it seems that larry liked this one...
i do too, it is very powerful, i love the way the air feels as a storm moves in and i felt like you portrayed that well in your piece. i felt that i was there in the midst of it with my senses engaged and for me a good en plein aire is not successful unless that is what happens.

DF, I am captivated by your rich use of pastels in the work that you post here. I sense drama is the key! They are a delight and a treat for the eye. You have made me get mine out too! I have always avoided them so thankyou for the inspiration!
