Ellen, Excellent stringer control!  (and hiya!)

Theresa, Beeeyoutiful! Your colors and shape are amazing. (I would suggest a pic from the side where her tail/fin meets her hip...it kind looked like a pregnant goddess x2 in the first pic) :o

Sheila, I so enjoy your dancers! Very Nicely Done, as always! :)

Here are mine for today~

Sands of Abaco~

Pebble Beach~

Happy Friday to each and all!

Great stringer work there Ellen!
Teresa, you are the queen of goddess's and mermaids and so many other beauties!
Sheila, your beads always have such movement in them! Very joyful!

Here's my latest set, I used one of my previous colour palettes just changed some of the colour rods I used and etched them.

Coventina... The Celtic Water Goddess

Holy cow..you guys have some incredible things up already!!!!

Ellen...that set is so AWESOME!! I love black accents on ANYTHING and these colors really pop wiht those elegant stringer lines

Teresa...simply the most awesome mermaid anywhere!! I really love the colors you got on her ...just perfection!

Sheila..that focal is very cool!! Almost "glyph" like in the lines of the leg and arms. Super colors too!

Juls....oh these beads are so delicious I want to eat them!!! I love the combination of vanilla and turquoise...you have really gotten some nice outlining reactions!!

Anne...those colors together are so soothing even though they are brilliant. It makes me think of a summer morning at an Oregon beach

Nothing from me today but hopefully tomorrow. Kiln has some yummies in it (I hope)

Cant wait to see the rest of the showcase

Debby- Your frog is awesome......I finally tried one the other day and it's little froggie leg broke off....boo hoo.... Yours looks very healthy and in the "green of things!"
Anne-- LUV the colors and twists--beautifully crafted!
Julianna-- Turq. and creme with silver....gorgeous...I gotta learn how to put the silver on like that....
Sheila- Your dancing person makes me wish I could dance...I luv it!
Teresa---I would love to say that I'd like to make something like your mermaid some day....She is so pretty and well done....but I think if I made one that pretty at my house....my husband would be in trouble for wanting to touch it all the time!!!LMAO!!! She really is pretty----and he likes fishing too much as it is!! lol....
Ellen....Sweetie.... How do you get time to always have something new to show!!?? I love the encased black...is it the intense black, or will the regular black look anything like that encased??? It's a really cool technique, and I'd love a tutorial on how to get that "look"... Thanks everyone for a wonderful drool time..... Cathy

Okay, I am posting after 3 of my all time favourite flameworkers
Teresa - she is nice and hippy!!! She might help our hockey team in the playoffs - LOL
Rachelle - she is soooo pretty and soft!
Anastasia - woah, looks like boundries got pushed!

I have one little set of hollows...I have a leaf that needs to be patinaed but it is 1:00am and I have not had dinner yet. OMG I LOVE being self employed ;)

...they are called "After Hours" because I made them after midnight last night.

04-27-2007, 08:22 AM

Wow, looked what happened while I was catching up on my beauty sleep!
Cathy - I'm retired so I have all the time I want to make beads. Yea, me!!!
The stringer is simply pulled from filligrana. I got a ton of the black rods from a deal Frantz was running several years ago. It's so much easier to work with than normal stringer - stiffer.
I was inspired to make and use this kind of stringer by someone else here on WC! Another reason to love this place!!!

04-27-2007, 08:42 AM
Ellen...I loved your beads too! You just keep coming up with great beads all the time.....

04-27-2007, 09:55 AM

Have a great Friday

I adore all the work that I see, I wanna be able to do it. Well I had a request for "golden pigs" for a friend who makes jewelry so my attempt at pig beads. You can tell the lower ones were the 1st attempt but I got a bit better. So here are my humble contributions.

04-27-2007, 01:54 PM
Haven't posted anything for a long time. I had a spinal fusion 3 months ago and it knocked me down flat. This is my first set of beads since being able to get back to the torch. Beautiful S&T here today ! Teresa, that mermaid is TDF !!
