Cute concept, Mikey!
There are a couple of visuals that bother the eye a bit, though. The position of the cab, with the nose down and the rear up, gives this the illustion that the train is braking real hard, rather than being "hot roddish." Most hot rod illustrations have the front angled upwards, implying speed and movement. This would also be helped if you put some extra motion lines behind the front wheels, not just the "dust cloud poofs" in the back.
The engine would also have more of a hot rod feel if you could maybe add some flame pattern on the side of the engine...
Really nice detailing, I like the little bell, and the bolt in the back!

Nice looking train and engineer..... Uh, am I correct in thinking that that is not "dust cloud poofs" in the back, but instead it is "wheelie bars"....? Looks HOT to me, I see the smoke stack is a little on the red hot, never seen a train with flames coming out the stack like that before.... What will she do in the quarter mile...?

Uh, No, you are not correct...http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/13-Apr-2007/11834-AB1.jpg
I didn't say "behind the engine." I specified "in the back..."
And the "possible wheelie bars," are, in actuality, a single axle with two wheels supporting the coal car behind the engine...Although there is no visible axle, and the coal bin is attached to the engine...But who really looks at details, anyway?

This looks like your most detailed one yet. I like the train. The guy's face might need a tad more shading but maybe not if he's in the sun. Nice one.
