Had alot of fun doing this one. The wood was was very interesting to do. Lots of glazing on this.

On my monitor, the wood appears to be either red oak or maple. What kind is it in real life?

The mustard color at the top of the main pic is not in the painting. The detail pic is the true color. I'll see if i can do a better one.

Katie the flowers are actually more white with blue shadows, but the colors are off. Not sure I can get a better pic today, no sun. I did get a new camera so I'll see what I can do with it.

I liked the POV too. Thats what drew me to the subject. The wood grain was delicious to do. I did take some pics while I was working to see progression. I would love to load them but I am on dial-up, and life is just too short!!
