Just uploading my weekend sketches from National Trust houses. The first visit was to Melford Hall, a Tudor mansion in Suffolk...Where Beatrix Potter would visit and sketch:

Nitsa,
Your drawing is superb and the pen and ink with watercolor washes makes it a real standout.

Well done.

Really nice, Nitsa. Do you use a ruler as you sketch or draw very very straight?
Either way, looks good.

 I like how the edges of the sketch just melt away.

LOL...Thanx Pat!

Thanx Paula. I don't use a ruler but I do pencil in a light guide before going in with the pen, that's when I usually notice anything askew and straighten up.

Thanx Jen!

Nice sketch work Nitsa, I also love to visit National Trust sites, they have so much to offer. Will you take this sketch any further? a finished painting perhaps?

Thankyou Joanne, possibly when the summer is over and I'm back in the studio full time, it'll be nice to browse my sketchbooks for inspiration!
