22x30", acrylic on watercolor paper. First in a series of three for an upcoming group show. It's painted on watercolor paper with Golden Fluid acrylics using watery paint in a wash technique without regard for subject matter. After letting it dry a rough drawing was indicated with black paint. More washes were added and light areas were established with gesso, and darker accents, too. This view will soon be obscured by a new four lane bypass.

Thanks for looking and commenting Doc, Cami and Gail. If I can do it so can you.

Gail, your hermitage painting is wonderful. Honest, lots of feeling. No need to paint like everybody else. Color is probably a good idea, but don't lose the unsophisticated and natural way that you paint. Beware of classes and workshops, they'll have you painting boring copycat paintings. Your memories simply expressed have great value.
