All of you Hibiscus fans. I have recently become aware of a Japanese Lantern Hibiscus. Oh my, it is a beauty and should think, those so inclined, might find it of interest.

It is a rare and lovely beauty. Now where can I put one in my garden?

That is a stunning hibiscus specimen. I guess they would not like zone 6 :(

Maybe as an outdoor in the summer but indoor as the winter arrives.

Howard,

Looking through my photos I took from a trip to the Audubon Park a few years ago in Hawaii, I came across a picture of this very same flower -- from the Hibiscus Section of course! Mine's not a very clear picture and so I haven't painted it...ooo, but you've given me some ideas!

Wow how pretty, and I got carried away at their web site too. So many interesting and beautiful flowers, wish I could have them here.
