Decided that I needed a fix if I'm to be a junkie so packed up and headed out. Sun came out as I was driving so I was happy. I was real happy that I got up enough nerve to set up by the side of the road next to 2 farmer entrances as normally I'm in dread of someone seeing me paint. Anyway, I got set up and as I was brushing in the sky and a few lines to denote where the road went, the sun went in hiding. Oh well, no biggie. Next thing the snow started to come down: big fluffy snow on my acrylics. I thought about Dan and Larry and figured, heck, no excuses. I put this down in under twenty and got the heck out of there. The cold made my paint spread more like oils than acrylic as it was so cold they were just this side of freezing up.
The farmer, who's road was behind me, came home and I could see him eyeing me in the mirror as he went into his lane. It's a little bleak and grey but that's the kind of day it was and if I'm out there I'm trying to paint what I see (with a little liscense). Real happy I didn't use any excuses and quit and go home. Even happy with the painting.
