I like it Howard, esp. the way you've handled the colors of the flower, comp. is a little heavy on the right, but overall it works well!

I like the freedom of the paint application here - the bold tones and loose brushstrokes - but the orchid is still there.

Thank you all for commenting and looking. Yes, it is an orchid based on a new one I recently purchased.

It is heavy on one side but it is a balance I can live with. It gives space to breath against all that hyperactivity.

I also think the slightly subdued color range is different.

Made some A6 cards today and they turned out handsomely. Very pleased. Will send a set to my mother who immensely dislikes everything i do. Oh well, can't win them all.
