This is a series of trio called Brown Sugar, I'm x-posting from Portraiture, didn't want folks here to miss it since my favorite medium is Acrylics !!

Done on canvas board size 50x60cm.

Watch this space for the next two...!

I love this--especially the beaded necklace and the headscarf. Great skin tones, too!

Your painting is lovely. I really like the composition and way you used the cool blues to accentuate the warm tones. The clothing and skin tones are gorgeous. The only part that bothers me a bit is the way the white necklace lays on the back of the neck. It doesn't look grounded to me as the bottom of it looks like it is sticking out. Is it suppose to be that way?

Here's the second of the trio.

The surface of the canvas board's a bit rough, I did this piece on an old painting and I just could'nt be bothered to sandpaper and smooth the canvas prior to the new one.

My Camera batteries are running low so the pic is a bit blurred, after I update the last piece, I'll retake the pic of this second one.In person it looks much better than on the monitor.I'm too lazy to retouch it in photoshop !!!!

PS: Just noticed that on my monitor the subject's neck looks a tad too dark, but in person this looks just fine !!
Hmm...I'll have to retake this pic in natural daylight and see if the painting needs to be retouched.

Thank you all for commenting on the last piece

Also C&C welcomed !

These are looking great to me, especially the light and shade on the skin.
