View Full Version : My experiment with impressionism

This one was done during my impressionistic phase :)
Actually it is another excercise from a book. An excercise of which I am not sure what the point was. However, I decided to go for an impressionistic style.
Again, please C&C. Thank you all!

This is nice. I like the atmosphere and the colouring. The water looks excellent.

It looks like an impressionistic landscape to me and I really like those foreground grasses as well as the colors you have in this painting.

Your colors are great, and I do like the grass. your water is capturing the sun good. Nice job. Jan

Difficult to say anything if you don't tell us what the point of the exercise was :D ... it looks very unfinished. I like the colors and the blinding sun. I don't like those foreground grasses, they look "crafty" to me. If you leave everything to the imagination in the background, you need to do the same for the foreground to get a cohesive picture - just my immpression.
