this is a fountain pen and water color painting. it was a quick one. i really didn't want anything perfect looking. i learned a lot from just this simple thing. like how much paint you need to make something. i just put a tiny blip of paint in the water and it was pretty deep in color. this came out okay, though the background has been photoshopped to give a good edge.
the color is a bit brighter in person, which i didn't really want, but i'll learn for next time.

Fabulous. Not an easy angle to get, and you have done it very well. That light spot on the chin is perfect. You have a confident, loose hand with the pen...something tells me you have done a lot of drawing.
What has brought you into watercolor?
and welcome to the forum...lots of resources here. Enjoy!

yeah. i like to draw face angles and body positions. i drew a straight on looking up person, and i liked how it gave a unsure/wondering feeling about life, prime reality, etc... the green and blue sort of give this marose feeling, yet green gives us a sense of growth.
the pen was given a line, and then to give it a little something, i did thinner marks very quickly around where the original was.
water color is neat because its impressionist/expressionist, and the pen line adds to that feel. as you guessed, i do like drawing, and i like isabel bishop.
so take

and add the fuzzy looking colors to it, and there you have me.

My Grandson is learning to play the guitar, and My Daughter plays too. She learnt Classical, but she plays a mean "Yesterday" by Paul McCartney.. I love that song..:)
Do you teach adults or children..?
