Although I mentioned it briefly in my other thread about my last Saturday's gallery experience, I thought it might go unnoticed...but I got exciting news last night: I've been invited to participate in a local gallery's next show starting May 10th. The owner had requested to see my work in person a couple months ago and said she'd get back with me if she wanted to have some of my pieces in their next show. She's selected 3 of my paintings - 2 of which she's only seen jpgs. And she's asked to see my paintings produced during the last 2 months too prior to the show.

All this has taught me a number of things - never give up, and never presume to judge which paintings you think are or aren't going to be selected. Just put them out there! :)

Thanks Jan & Ann - so far she's chosen "Pink Poppies" "Pink Veins Hibiscus" and "Sunflower"

Here they are - Sunflower's the only one framed--the others are gallery-wrapped.
