Jennifer, I like the spacers you used. They fit nicely over the crystal shape. I may have to borrow that idea in the future.

Here is a matching choker and bracelet set.

Gorgeous work as always in here and a wonderful way to start out the month.

I'm so proud of myself I actually made something! I don't feel like I have in a month and a half.

Anyways, I had these intense black and ivory rounds on ebay and they didn't sell (anyone else notice it's pretty quiet over there?) but that was ok with me, because I kinda had this piece in mind almost the same time I made the beads. I really like it and I have plenty left over to make another! Whoo hoo!

Intense black and ivory lampwork, rainbow obsidian, seed beads and sterling silver:

I haven't had a lot of time online lately, and this is one of the first finished-pieces threads I've seen. Okay, I'm way behind, I know.

Kaye, that tropical bling is pretty.
Ginny, that Eni Oken inspired pendant is gorgeous. I wish I weren't so broke.
Marie'line, those fishies are so bright and whimsical. What great summer jewelry.
Sam, that green necklace is stunning. Yep, you can almost smell the flowers.
Calisto, neutrals don't alwayls grab me like those did.

I'll have to make sure I check in on these threads every month. It's fulfilling to see finished jewelry with lampwork.

Well I posted these disks in the showcase today. The sun never came out to take this finished photo. So it seems fuzzy but here it is. I think Kerry and I must think along the same lines.(see the page 1 of this thread) I even have a green set of disks to put together. We both made disks We both figured out our own way to present them. They are similar but very different. It just goes to show... we sometimes have the same idea at the same time.

Kerry like I say GREAT MINDS! I'm using Bullseye mostly for the disks. I was wondering if your green ones were moretti Sage or Bullseye olive. When I saw your post I had my disks sitting there and I thought WOW.
I'm always telling my students that there is too much noise made about copying. Simple bead shape are simple beads shape and we all work from a similar color palette. So beads may at 1st glance seem to be the same. It is how you present your work that sets it apart.
I am loving that some of us are on a disk craze right now.
For me they are very Zen to make. smooth or textured I love them.
I love the set you just posted can't wait to see what you will do with them.
Now I had better get off line and go put my green and then the blue set together. I'll be doing some thing a little different with them.
And Thank you and yes it is long 33 inches. The largest disk is 1 1/8 inchs or 29mm. the smallest is about 19mm. Bullseye lustre( I think uranium lustre maybe blue) coral tint and sunset coral striker.
Your disk Sister :wink2: (Actually I saw your age so closer to Mother) Sam

Beautiful work everyone.

Here is one of the bracelets I've been making lately. I am giving my hands a break from wire work. These are soothing and relaxing to make. It's my spin of the Robin Atkins Beaded Treasure bracelet. I used verigated embroidery thread as the weaving cord on this one, that how I got the multi colored look.

Thank you Ruby! Thank you Heidi!!

Heidi, I really admire that seed bead bracelet of yours, it's just gorgeous! I only wish I had so much patience.

Here is a large hole bead I made some time ago and it just sat in my stash for awhile until I could get inspiration as to stringing it up.

Well, here's the finished product. It's definitely a bit of an illusion. The tassles look as though they're as long as the necklace itself...but they're not. They are actually only as long as 2" and the necklace itself is a 16 incher. Just had to do with the angle I shot it at.

We have 4 more days of Fiesta fun left here in San Antonio.
We won't have to wait long until the next "party". There is always something fun happening here.

Aways so many lovely pieces to drool over!

These beads did not sell last week so I decided to play with them and made a necklace for a friend. Glad they didn't sell!
