View Full Version : Classical Art Journey Week 66 & 67
03-31-2007, 11:38 AM
Hi and welcome to classical art journey.
To inspire your creative nature~
What does that take????
Ask yourself this question.
No image this week, you show us yours, inspire us
Oh, and it's time for a new Twelve Monthly Challenge.
Whoever would like to start this please do. It's not
necessary to be the next poster. That seems to
distract from this thread.
I know Mony had written earlier of doing a challenge of trees.
If you need, I can go and repost from the first week
of art journey the things we talked about doing this year.
Let me know and I'll be glad to repost the notes.
I'm looking forward to seeing your work this week and the
new challenge for April.

 hi nickel and everyone!!! I think mony's idea for trees would be a wonderful challenge...ive been taking diane wrights class in the drawing and sketch thread on trees...so the more drawing them the better...Many different ways to draw them...wintry..summer full...drawing the leaves only...bark...branches...looking at the many paintings of trees and landscapes of the classical periods...i vote for this...!!!! tyree

Thanks Susan for your vote!!!
And Thanks Mony for getting us started on challenge 4!
I am ready, willing and hopefully able. :)
Are you going to give tasks to accomplish with trees?
I know it will be fun and educational whatever we do :)
See you tomorrow, Nickel

Sweet goose! I don't know if I see a different (new) style but
I see a sweet goose, one that has a personality, one that I'd
try to feed some bread too at the park. This goose is impish!
That's good. :)

Tyree - geese kinda put their heads down like that and look at you like that right before they charge and bite. We used to have geese and they can give a impressive bruise.
Cute bunnie conversation

Aloha from Honolulu - I miss ya'll:heart: Just looking at all the trees and other work - I have managed to paint every day - trees in every one too! no scanner here - will post when I get back. Today my husband and I rode around the airforce base on bicycles and stopped and drew for 30 minutes....he drew an airplane and I a tree.
Tyree I think your fork is so good - you did well on the water and droplets . I love the portrait too.
Nickel -that limb looks alot like a snake to me expecially the way it is raised up in the foreground like a little snakie head checkin' it out - except it gets fat in the wrong place. :p Is that a crepe myrtle limb?
Tommorrow we are going to the botanical gardens. The vegetation here is sooo awesome.

Azulparsnip!!! I saw you on the beach today and said hey! :)
Cool beans like our Susan says...........:)
Lush landscape where you are for sure. Soak it all in. Lovely memories.
Yes I think the scrub looks like a biggggggggggggggg snake. Almost
scared snakes will think they found their momma. ekk
