I have a board (actually a hollow core interior door) that I'd like to do an ET painting on. It has already been coated with a thin layer of acrylic gesso. I was planning on covering the gesso with Golden absorbent ground (on the recommendation of someone at Daniel Smith. Now I'm wondering if I'd be better off with the rabbit skin glue/gesso. Does anyone have any experience using the absorbent ground w/ ET? Or do you think it would be OK to cover the acrylic gesso w/ the RS gesso? (I'm new to this medium and also using gouache as pigment mixed w/ egg yolk b/c I don't want to use powder pigment b/c the colors I love aren't available and I don't want toxic dust in my home based studio where little kids are living - in case you want to comment on that particularity as well...)
Thanks SO much for any advice!
Megan
