View Full Version : A problem with Future

I am relatively new to polymer clay and didn't experiement much before I began my first project.

I made a made a poymer tile mosiac surround for my bathroom mirror and covered the tiles with Future to protect and give them shine. Now some of the darker tiles are getting a white film over them. I think it is the humidity getting underneath the Future and causing it to lift up.

Should I try to remove the acrylic topcoat? If so, how? Would something else have been better given the humid location of my bathroom. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it is the moisture causing the fogging. You can remove the Future, here are instructions (http://www.glassattic.com/polymer/finishes.htm). For a damp area like this I would recommend not using a glaze coat. I would sand up to 2000 grit, then buff with a muslin wheel.
