Heidi: Thank you for your kind words. Your seascapes are wonderful!

03-03-2007, 12:21 AM
Heidi that is so beautiful. I love the sea effect. Very, very cool. Audrey, your florals are wonderful. Great color choices.

Nothing from me today. BAD day at the torch. All of my dipped mandrels were popping the release off. I managed to make a few spacers but everything else was stinky since I had to hurry before the bead would pull from the mandrel. Can't wait to see what other pretties you all managed to create!

03-03-2007, 12:22 AM
Heidi, I love how that silver glass reacted to look like the reflection of the moonlight. It's perfect!
Audrey, I really like the pink one. I wish I could make florals that beautiful.

Non for me right now, but will spend the whole morning to afternoon on the torch, then off to a FL Panthers hockey game, up in the Lexus box!

03-03-2007, 12:57 AM
Oh my, what pretties so far!!!

I hope you all like these... they're simple I know... but I love the colors...

Lydia, may I ask what glass you are using? It does not look like Moretti to me, its so soft in nature, it almost looks like Satake.

Lovely beads everyone!

It really is a nice start to the day!

03-03-2007, 10:30 AM
Lydia - I love those beads!

03-03-2007, 10:47 AM

Lydia, very pretty beads! Question...what does "inagodadvida" mean and how does it pertain to your beads? I know it's song by the Iron Butterflys. Does it have something to do with a lot of color? Curious.

Thank you Dianna, Nalynn, Glasspat, Heidi and Krista!

Dianna - It is Moretti glass. I use a lot of different opaques but every layer is encased by a different translucent glass. It was a real pain in the toot in the beginning because I have to work slowly in a high oxy atmosphere in order to pull off the end result. Some of the translucent glasses seem to dislike the high oxygen too and if I am not really careful I get scumming. The colors used in the Inagodadavida beads include Opal Yellow, Nile Green, light sky blue, rubino, dark sky blue, CIMS Lavender fields, Trans light aqua, Vetrofond Crystal Clear, and gold stone. I *think* that's all. lol

Heidi - You are right. It is a reference to the song by Iron Butterfly. When I was a kid, my dad had their album. He really liked the song a lot. One night he was telling my sister and I a bedtime story. Most of the time they were biblical in nature. This particular night, he said, "Okay kids, I'm going to tell you about the "Garden of Eden"." He told us the story and at the end he gave each of a kiss on the forehead. As he was shutting off our lights, he sang "Inagodadavida baby . . .Don't you know that I love you Baby". It's one of my favorite memories of him.
Later I learned that Inagodadavida actually meant "In the Garden of Eden" because during the band's practice session, the lead singer sounded as though he was saying "Inagodadavida". They ended up choosing that name instead of "In the Garden of Eden".

Me, I don't have your patience.
