I picked up a book about a week ago called "Painting Basics" by Jerry Yarnell. It is 'how to paint in acrylics' ....but I thought I would try doing it in Painter IX.........and this is my finished work. C&C Welcome.

Wow what a lovely painting, very individual. The reflection of the church has moved slightly left but who knows what God can do. :)

Thanks to you all for looking and giving your encouraging words. I'm having this one printed on fine art paper in 11x14. I'm looking through his book to see what I want to try next. Hopefully, after following some of his turorials ....I can try painting some of my own photographs.

That's a great painting . Very nice colors.
I find the clouds on our left too sharp though. I believe that if you blend them a little as you did with the other side, it would look better.
