Painter 9. My roommates took a picture of this gentleman on Friday. It kept me buy through the weekend. :)

Thanks, Barry! I just realised the ear was enormous, so I redid it.

Some ears are enormous, mine are quite big, it didn't say wrong to me!

Looks good Kristen :) but maybe soften the edges some, especially on the hat and the hat also needs to be brought out more on his left side, it doesn't match his head

You've got a good eye, Jean! Thanks

This is really looking good. I would check that eye on the left, it looks just a tad too high. One way to easily fix that is draw a marquee around it, fairly large and then cut and paste your selection. From there you can move it down a bit without having to repaint it. Its a neat trick and has definitely saved me alot of time. If you ever find something that looks too small or too big, you can do the same thing and then resize your copy. If things don't quite match up with your copy pasted down, you can erase into with a soft eraser to smooth the transition. Once you've got it where you want it, a good idea is to flatten the image or drop it down to one layer again. Just thought I would share a tip that has really helped me out.

This is looking good and I agree with Jean one thing that is driving me crazy is the eyebrow hanging down in his eye on the left. The skin tone is perfect.

Hey Kristen, I thought this was Painter's alley! :)

I have to agree with Barry on this Kristen if you are using a cut and paste or vectors this is not what Painters Alley is about. We don't use any effects of any kind here just paint. You might want to review Sherrys Post (http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=336822) at the top of the page.

I hereby withdraw from Painter's Alley....FOR GOOD. Whatever is required is evidently not something I'm able to understand.

Now that you fixed the ear, I think some shading on the har, behind the ear will be effective. They look like they are in the same plane.

Good to see you doing more freehand work. Your skills are really coming along.
