More raku, but these rounds came out a little dark. I know what I have to do next time to get more color to come out! Playing with Gaia again, and some of Val's #00 Raspberry pink! :)

I still can't get my florals right even though I try and try. Here are a few focals for me. Have been experimenting with silver.

Here is my fun for the day
02-24-2007, 11:30 AM
Such lovely stuff today. I have some small flowers.
02-24-2007, 01:37 PM
Larkin--you're making me want to get out my silver and play! I love those!
Anastasia--beautiful dragonfly--the dragonfly is special to my DH and me, because we saw tons when we first started dating!
Here's a set where I wanted to see how different glasses would play together...I wasn't too sure about them at first, but they had a lot going on that kept me coming back to them! They won't photo right though, no matter how many things I tried! There is no "yellow" in them, even though it looks like it.
02-24-2007, 01:45 PM
Rachel those are gorgeous. What colors of glass besides ivory did you use? I 'm trying to do more experimenting with the reactive glasses as well as silver and doing more focals this week than sets.
02-24-2007, 02:05 PM
Good Morning everyone! Here I am looking at your lovely work when I should be cleaning my house! This is more fun! Keep up the great work!

Lovely work everyone!:D
02-24-2007, 08:25 PM
Thank you Larkin....three weeks on no vacumning with wood floors and 3+ dogs, the dust bunnies were taking over! I would like to have just a bit of the "anal house cleaning gene"....I was passed over, I don't have that gene!
02-24-2007, 10:46 PM
Here is a little baby dragon I made today thought he was fun...
02-24-2007, 11:25 PM
Here are some of the ones I did this afternoon with a mix of others.
Upper left is my first attempt at flowers.
Lower right is one of the hearts I made my wife for Valentines
In the back are the skunk beads that Susan had me make today.
Dichroic swirl... Woot! Didn't Break!!
Somehow or another this Dragon appeared... reminds me of an Asia poster

Michael, great beads. I do like the way that last one looks like dragon. I also really like that purple, white, turquoise one that kinda looks like an eyeball. Lots of reaction. Which purple is that?
02-25-2007, 12:42 AM
Those are great beads, Michael! Love the dragon!
02-25-2007, 01:38 AM
Very neato goodies guys!!!!!
02-25-2007, 06:16 PM
The glass I used were ivory, red copper green, intense black and raku, and then the clear for decoration. I'm doing more experimentation with these colors, and layering them in different orders--I love using them on ivory because you're never quite sure what you're going to get!
02-25-2007, 09:52 PM
I also really like that purple, white, turquoise one that kinda looks like an eyeball. Lots of reaction. Which purple is that?
It is the Moretti Violet 272... I got one rod of it in an assortment pack I bought a while ago.. and I've been using it sparingly until I get some more. :)
02-25-2007, 09:58 PM
Thanks! I think I have some of that, but I don't think I ever used it with ivory. Maybe that's the cause of the mini reaction that was produced.
