I give you last nights works... slightly early but what the hey...

These are more boro banner hearts
Then I tried a flower, but the petals were too long and when I tried to melt them in a bit, they drooped so I added clear and it turned into a spider and its web. Wonky to the max but it was the end of my session and I said... what they hey! These two are the top and bottom of said spider....
And just because you can melt glass, doesn't mean you should. I give you the wonky but fun candleholder... roflmao.

Now admit it, this is an easy act to follow so what'cha got in your kiln?

02-15-2007, 10:16 PM
Hey, I like that candle holder! :D

I'll post my pictures in a bit.

G.L.McBead, Your really got the different blues to show well.
fys, you certainly got the organic to come out and blues.

Here is one from my new spring series.

Sue - hehe I LOVE the candle holder!! Don't you just love how clear and essentially bubble free clear boro is to work with? I hate encasing so much, but I can get some decent encasing done with boro.

G.L. McBead - Oooo wonderful blues and purples! That kind of cool color effects only from boro, yeah!!

fys - I really like this shape for a pendant! Very nice! :)

Bernadette - I love this spring green and the finish. Did you use enamels?? It has that lovely effect.

Jayne - Love 'em! I'm crazy about etched black! It looks like velvet to me. :D

Annie - pretty focals, and I esp. like the one in the first pic!

Cindy - Very nice seahorse, and very nice for your first!!

Here's some of mine:

02-15-2007, 11:39 PM
Lisa, rock on~ That adventure was a successful one.

I'm headed to FL this weekend and I can't seem to focus on anything else...so here are some beach beads from me~

Everyone have a wonderful weekend!

Moon, love all the great colors that you've put into your sets! Done very nicely.
Mary, that kitty is just heavenly!
Mary Beth, the colors in your set has a real southwest feel. Like it!
Juls, I always like the soft organic feel to your beads!
Lisi, your sets look great! Do you measure each bead to get them so uniform in size?
Lisa, wonderful job! I did an off mandrel sea horse that came out quite nice...b ut I lost his tail...so...good for you! YOurs is in one piece!
Annie, I just love your beads! They look like paintings.
Jayne, what fun beads those are! I like the spirals. I haven't even tried my grill. It's just been too cold to go anywhere near my grill.
Bernadette, lovely bead! Your use of enamel is very nice!
Dusty, I really like the organic color and shape to your pendant!
G.L.,I love what you've done with that boro!
Sue, really neat candle holder! Looks like you're having fun with the boro.

Wow, what an exciting S&T tonight! Ya'll are really rockin'!

Here's mine.... finally something to show after a long absence...

The blue ones were made with scrap stained glass (96 COE)...

02-16-2007, 01:17 AM
Very lovely, Debby. That blue is beautiful! So rich.

02-16-2007, 01:22 AM
Thanks, Heidi, I got a whole big box of scrap glass I bought from a friend of mine... It's been fun playing with it. I even tried decorating some beads with my other 96 COE glass and so far no cracks! Yay!

02-16-2007, 01:30 AM
Wow, only 20 minutes after midnight and already on two pages!

Starlight Debby, those pastel petals are just sweet.
Heidi, I love the dots!
Moon that set is soooo colorful! But I love the coral and turquoise.
Mary, is that kitty to memorialize a pet? Either way I say awwwww
Marybeth, again, I love the coral and turquoise combo. And I haven't seen a bone in a while. It's nice
Juls, I love that first set! Have a safe trip to FL! It's getting chilly down here. pack a sweater.
Lisi, perfect as usual. I really like the colors on that first set.
Lisa C, he's soooo cute! Great first try!
AB, the iris is gorgeous!
Jayne, those would be the perfect beads to go with lava stone. Or some perfectly white pearls for contrast.
Bernadette, this egg and the previous ones are just darling!
fys, beautiful blue!
GL, lovely boro as usual!
Sue, I really like where you are going with these ribbon hearts.

Keep up the good work all. I'll check in later to see what other beauties are here!

You guys are so funny! If you saw this candleholder in person, you'd be laughing at me so hard. The picture actually makes it look better than it does in real life. It is so wonky! I can fit about 6 paperclips in it so I'm thinking it may amuse me to keep it on my desk. No self-respecting candle would be caught dead in it!

Thank you for the compliments on the banner hearts. I've never seen anyone make them so am hoping the thought is mine. Don't you think local sports fans would like one in their team colors? I'm hoping so.... ppp is the name of this game.

I'm loving all the beads, btw. What a nice showcase.

02-16-2007, 08:28 AM
WOW WOW WOW & WOW
Everyone this is truly a wonderful showcase!!!!!
