Hi all!

Here's my latest work - went back to still life after the birdies. As usual I've painted from my own photo, on La Carte...I love this paper more and more every day!

C&C appreciated and wanted as usual. :)

Wow, thank you all, you made my day! :) I'm happy to see the greens are working, they where a challenge to me, I think green is the hardest color to do.

Piper - lol, maybe you don't call them boats in english? In norwegian we have the expression lime/orange/lemon boats when they're cut like this, so I just translated it directly....A bit of norwenglish there, lol :D

Tammy- the tequila, well uhm.... ;) :D

Wow. The limes are so wonderfully juicy and translucent looking. I don't know how you achieve that wonderful affect. When I first saw this I read the subject as "lime boots" and expected to find bright green footwear. ;)

'Lime boats' would not be a usual phrase in English, but certainly is a very fitting expression, and makes a wonderful painting title in English.

Thank you all so much! I'm glad you like it...it's kinda funny, I didn't really have a good vibe for this piece myself and forced myself to finish it. Glad to see there's something there even though I didn't get that feeling myself... :)

What???? No tequila being served yet?????

Actually, I just came back for another look at the translucency you've achieved with these lucious limes! ;)

OK, even though I'm an experienced pastel artist, I have to say it.... THATS PASTELS??? lol I thought it was oil!! I'm looking at the rind at the top thinking... how did you get it to look so translucent and membrane-like? lol Very nice work!!
