Hi all! I am particularly addressing this question to my fellow Canadians. I am unable to locate acrylic Zinc White anywhere. Does anyone know of a source here in Canada? Thanks in advance! Molly

Steveson might have zinc white, I know that Liquitex also has zinc white.

Try www.opusframing.com (http://www.opusframing.com) and www.currys.com (http://www.currys.com) if you want to shop Canadian stores with ecommerce capabilities.

Might consider looking for mixing white/blending white. I think these tend to be either a zinc white or a combo of titanium white and zinc white. It tends to be softer and less blue I believe. Might check around.

While I generally don't put much credance in these generalized web pages this one seems to be fairly decent. Might want to check it out.

Brand is your first consideration (Zinc White is not offered by all makers) and then the availability of that brand.

Liquitex and Golden are the two to look for; Liquitex's is called Transparent Mixing White.

I thought W&N Finity and Tri-Art had it too but they don't apparently.

M Graham also has a zinc white (my favorite). I like the texture much better than golden's. Maybe it was the jar that I got, but it doesn't mix well with anything else.

Kroma Acrylics, a Vancouver-based company specializing in acrylic paint and mediums offers Zinc White as well. You can also mail-order from them as well:

I work almost exclusively with their products, due to the fact that I bought a 15-color plus set from them and I've been pretty happy with it. Its not to say I won't try other products, though! :)

Here in Edmonton all of the art supply stores seem to carry Golden products which includes Zinc White. In fact I bought a tube of it myself a month or two back. I think it was a Colors store and they also do mail order. Here is their web address: http://www.artistsupplies.com/
I also did a quick check of the Curry's website and they have zinc white in both the Golden and Liquitex brands. This is their address:

Good luck.
