Hey -- guys -- just a quickie, but I'll take all C & C you have to offer. 6 x 6" on canvas. My criminally insane cat Moose.

very different style from your usual but I like it

Awesome !!! he even looks a bit crazy but I could have been influenced by your comments - I love your style, the blues & reds really make it without being obvious & taking over the painting
I am desperately trying to paint one of my cats & just can't get a likeness to him - I sketch something that looks like a cat but not MY cat :crying: !!!

This is really nice, Maggie.
What a cute little guy!
Love the brushwork and color choices.
This would even work well as a larger piece.

Lovely, lovely artwork

Beautifully loose but it took me a bit of time to see the cat, did see it for a while as a butterfly. Looking at the thumbnail helped more than looking at the full sized work. Nicely executed and beautiful painterly quality to it.

This is a nice piece. It's a nice departure from the typical cat portrait. Like your use of color as well.

Haha! I had to stare at it a bit to see the butterfly! Thanks everyone for your really nice comments. I love these little 6 x 6" canvases and the challenge of painting one a day (on top of my other art work that I have to get done). It really forces you to be economical and stare at your compositions. And of course, if one flops horribly, it's only an hour lost, and you just do it over, right?
And yes, he is a crazy, crazy cat. I could go into long anecdotes but then I'd be one of those people that start telling you about their pets when you're drumming your fingers because it's just not funny unless it's YOUR cat. ;)
Okay, I was going to look at some more threads but I have to get off the computer and go upstairs where it's warmer . . . darn windows!!
