Scanner stuff

I have an adaptec AHA-150x/1510/152x/AIC-6x60 SCSI adapter card for a Microtek ScanMaker x6el scanner. I get an error code 10, hardware not available.

I don't plan to say anything more until I get the problem fixed and have my work so you can see it. I feel that's the only honest way.

Most likely trouble is that it is conflicting with your sound card. Both are probably set to the same IRQ or DMA setting. One way to prove this ,go to device manager and remove sound card and then recheck scanner. Once scanner is working you may be able to change the settings with the supplied software. Then reinstal sound card,

Rod: Thanks! The device manager says that there are no conflicts with IRQ, but I don't know anything yet about DMA's. I soon will.
