This painting is called Web Site because it has a spider's web in the dark area at the top of the painting. My scan is too dark to really see it. How can I lighten a scan to show more detail, like the spider's web? It was a very hot Summer day. Painted from inside a covered bridge. On Arches 140 lb. watercolor paper - cold press, 16" x 20". This En Plein in PA - USA. This was also ported in the watercolor area.
Please tell me what you think?

This looks very bold and interesting. I wish it could see it bigger and clearer though!:)

I very much like it-- abstract, yet realistic-- good color and light/dark patterning. I wish I could see the spider's web, though. :)
To fix a photo you need photo-editing software-- the best is probably Adobe PhotoShop (big $), I use Adobe PhotoDeluxe (cheap but adequate.)

Hi Doug. This looked so interesting to me that I wanted to see it better. Hopefully this is closer to your original--if not, sorry for messing with it.

I still can't see the spider web but the rest of the painting is delightful. Interesting pattern and composition and lovely warm colors.
