Okay, had to have a go at this, have never tried the WDE's before.
I was so taken with Maureen's that she posted here that I had to go looking!!
I belong to the NZ Art Guild and we have a weekly challenge, and this week the topic happens to be glass! so double reason to do it.

2 hrs exactly, acrylic on stretched canvas 8x8.
Used my new Golden Fluids, and a little Atelier.

I couldn't make the candles believable so in the end painted them out.

Thought I would add the greyscale of it as well.

Hi Lulu, beautiful candles in glasses.
I like the way you paint them, how do you paint the lighter colour such as light blue on blue or green and red?
I painted this one too at the WDE, thanks.

Hi Dewi, and thanks.
I did lots of washy layers to begin with, and then went back with the stronger less-diluted or undiluted colour.
ps have just seen that you are in Bangkok, I will be there for a night in April and another two in May! Looking forward to it too:)

Beautifully done, Lulu! And, since you can so successfully eliminate your ladies' faces, then leaving out the candle flames really isn't a problem... Your colour is fantastic... and I would recognize this as a *Lulu* painting in a heartbeat...

Good work on the glass, Lulu. The greyscale says it, showing the good values. Did you paint this one with the fluid acrylics?

Oh Lulu - this is delightful! .... and thanks for joining us in the WDE - you'll have to keep a-coming there girl :D

I'm wanting to try this in Acrylic paints too - as opposed to the inks .... how did you like the fluids? .. and on canvas?

Great stuff - I'm tickled pink that you chose these to do!

Gorgeous Lulu - Char is right - this has all your special energy in it - the candles are not needed - it's all the better for allowing the reflections to take centre stage!

Thanks Dewi, will come prepared:)

Doug, JJ, Marcia, thanks!

Char, hehe, thanks too, glad you can recognise it as a Lulu!

Ann, yes I used my fluid acrylics for this, but a little of Atelier too as I already had it mixed.

Thanks Leslie.

Maureen, thanks, 'twas you who inspired me to go take a look:) Was fun, will certainly be popping over again!
I loved the fluids on canvas, watered down at first and then stronger. Just flowed on so easily.

Thank you Ruth!
