The purple gives an unusual, but neat twist on things here. I like it.

I want to soon do a painting similar to this, but with all the foods I like in one bunch: garlic (for sure), tomatoes, onions, beer (yum), pasta.
All that good stuff.

Go for it Domer! Just substitute beer for wine:D
The garlic actually was really purple ( a little bit less magenta in it then on this on line version). The purple garlic has the best taste to me:) I am garlic, tomatoes , basil, olive oil, onions, sweet pepper, fresh mozzarella, fresh bread and wine person:D :D

Hey all this talk of food is making me hungry, not tried purple garlic as far as I know but if it is as good as this painting of it then it would be excellent. This is very very good Julia, I really like it - Mike:clap:

I love this Julia ... and am a huge fan of purple :D I have seen garlic like this, really superb! Great perspective and shadows too! That touch of yellow highlight really sets off the garlic in the foreground!

Thank You Mike and Paintergirl!

Purple in anything will work for me. I LOVE eggplants, purple figs, purple onions, purple plums, purple dresses, purple shoes...Wait a minute : dresses and shoes are not eatable:D Well, I like them anyhow:p ;)
