My latest is seascape in acrylic on 16X29 board. Having some trouble with colors since my stroke, but keep trying. Comments and criticism please as I am still trying to learn in spite of my health conditions. http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/24-Jan-2007/70045-DSCF2182.JPG
Thanks and God Bless

Some wild weather coming up in this scene Pappy! I think you have done some great work with the colours ...you have repeated your colours throughout and that makes for cohesion. The effect of approaching storm is excellent! The circular movements is giving the feel of heightened wind and adding to the stormy atmosphere That luminious green in the waves is brilliant ...Bravo and all the best in recovery from your stroke.

Pappy, your storm is filled with a sense of hope. It's eerie and beautiful. The only thing is the stone wall - it doesn't move like the other elements. Maybe if u remove it and extend the brown sand towards the grass and water?
Wish u a speedy recovery!

Hi Pappy

Lots of movement in this one and that's not always an easy thing to capture, but you have done it well here. Love that big storm cloud, especially the way it sweeps around...shows a lot of power. The wave work is pretty spectacular..good blending of colours. The wall works fine for me, it helps lead the eye in and bring the eye back after a tour... Nice!

I like the fantasy feel to this. I can imagine a dragon showing up on the beach at any moment!

Wow, those waves look mean. They remind me of the hurricane that went through Bermuda around 1988 (?) while I was there.

This has a fairytale quality about it which I find charming. The colours in the sea are lovely. Hope you recover fully from your stroke. Great that you are painting and enjoying it. It shows.

I really, really like this. Very dreamy... relaxing in a way, yet intriguing. A painting I could sit and look at for a very long time and just dream away!!!
